On October 8, 2007, Cardxcore and I, Assassin-x, started our Manic Mondays by finding all of the Happy Hour places in town that we would like to check out. Our first venture was Henry's 12 Street Tavern on NW 12 Ave.
The location is great, downtown Burnside, close to Powell's Books and across the street from Whole Foods.
The happy hour menu is tasty and standardly priced. I was a bit confused by the Hibachi Salmon Stack, which was delicious, though it wasn't finger food made for sharing with other people. The drinks are moderately priced, a bit spendy so one drink is about all you want from this place. For two people, count on spending between 25.00-30.00.
The environment is working class, between the ages of 25-35. The possibility of finding a date with someone is quite good, though it is more fun to go there with friends. If you do want to meet someone, sit at the bar, close to the handsome guy/gal who just got off work and stopped in for a drink, perhaps to meet someone new, just like you.
This place isn't really my style, or should I say that I'm not really Henry's style, though the servers were nice.
I could go back to this place, though we have a plethora of other places we want to check out in this town...
